Why Nuclear Weapons Must Stop

Nuclear weapons are the vile, destructive tools of madness. The most deadly weapons in the world, which can destroy not only cities, but civilizations. Certainly effective, but also traumatizing. A grave danger to the entirety of existence on planet Earth.

Some may debate and argue against me, stating that it is a security for the nations. But frankly, it is not. The risks that these weapons hold are too much to ignore.

Ultimately, if there are a few nukes blasted at different places, the blast is the least thing we should worry about. In this article, I will explain exactly why.

Radioactive Fallout

As you know, nuclear weapons work based on nuclear energy. This form of energy is extremely radioactive. And hence, the amount of destruction multiplies exponentially with nuclear weapons.

Now, what is radioactive fallout?

When a nuke blasts, the radioactive particles from the weapon spread out and fall to the ground. But this is not the end. If the area has air currents, then the particles scatter far beyond the blast radius. And that “far away” can be miles of distances.

These radioactive particles which are scattered will contaminate the air, soil, and water. If this effect of radioactivity prolongs, then there is a possibility of famine and loss of innocent lives.

They are too expensive

To create a nuclear weapon, it takes billions of dollars. Spending so much time and money on something that is going to cause more harm than good is useless.

If we stop giving so much money for nuclear weapons, then there would be a lot of financial developments globally. Not only this, but countries can look into the actual problems that the average person faces. Cyberbullying, poverty, unemployment, and global warming are a few issues which we can spend on.

Speaking of issues, let us move on to the next point.

Nukes can’t solve all issues

Answer me, would you ever use a nuclear weapon to solve illegal hacking? Is it necessary for alpha/beta and gamma radiations to solve depression and anxiety? Times change, and so we should as well. It is useless to keep these weapons with us. Not only this, but it can make the problems even worse. Anyone who has common sense will definitely understand this.

Maintenance Issues are possible

Anything nuclear has higher risks of exploding and amassing damage to the world. If they have made a miniscule mistake with the maintaining, then all that is consequent is lethality! It is clear from events that have occurred, such as the Chernobyl Disaster.

What we can learn from this is that these nuclear weapons are like inviting the devil to our own house. Just like that sadistic “friend” who backstabs anyone according to his will. You get the point, right?

Promotes environmental disaster

Let’s think about the environmental aspect.

The effect that a nuke causes can last up to years. A lot of smoke and debris, along with significantly radioactive particles, contaminate the environment more than anything.

Food, water, air, soil, all of this is being negatively affected. Such dangerous nukes can promote climate change around the world. Conclusively, this can lead to the extinction of life on Earth.

Nuclear weapons are dangerous, and hence they should stop. They possess ultimate crisis in the world. I stand firmly with this idea.

To summarize the solution, as the famous scientist Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam once said,

India can live without nuclear weapons. That’s our dream, and it should be the dream of the U.S. also.

Peace.
